About Us
Harvest FROM THE BEST
Our founder's love for coffee began with the Ethiopian Coffee Ceremony in her community. Her father, Fisseha, grew up on a coffee plantation in Welega, Ethiopia, where every morning he and his friends would gather ripe cherries, which the women would wash, roast, and brew. This daily ritual was a communal event, where family and neighbors shared buna (coffee) and dabo (Ethiopian bread).

Ethiopian Coffee Ceremony
A TRADITION ROOTED IN NATURE...
In Ethiopia's misty highlands, Kaldi's discovery of coffee berries sparked a collaboration with monks, refining a brew that became a symbol of centuries of artistry. Ethiopian coffee’s rich flavors and luxurious essence reflect this legacy of craftsmanship.
Let customers speak for us
from 19 reviews“If you think all coffee tastes the same, try this. Anbessa brews like a fine tea — floral on the nose, smooth on the tongue, and finishes with a whisper of fruit. It changed my expectations.”
“This isn’t your typical dark roast. It’s bright, tea-like, and the fruity complexity shines through. It’s smooth without cream, and honestly tastes better than any coffee shop blend I’ve tried.”
"Usually I drink coffee because I need to, but this? I actually want it. It’s light and floral with a clean finish. It just feels good."
"It caught me off guard. It’s not like any coffee I’ve ever had. Clean, kind of tea-like, and super easy on the stomach. I even drink it black now."
"One cup in and I knew it wasn’t your average roast. It’s delicate and flavorful in a way I didn’t think coffee could be. Total game changer."
"There’s this soft fruitiness that hits you right after the first sip. It’s mellow, not overpowering, like the perfect balance between coffee and tea."
“I had the chance to try Anbessa Coffee recently, and I can’t wait to get my hands on more of it. The coffee was everything I like about high quality Ethiopian beans. Bright, lightly acidic, with a full body, and a light finish. As a home brewing enthusiast, I’ve tried a lot of premium roasters from all over the world, an these were definitely a standout from recent beans I have tried!”
“Naturally sweet, and rich. There is no need for creamer or sugar! It's a great tasting coffee (natural blend), is competitively priced, and I definitely rate it ahead of other brands for its flavour and quality. I'm also looking forward to trying more, Beans and Ground coffee both that I've ordered. Your customer service is absolutely top shelf!”
"I didn’t expect coffee to taste like this — it’s so smooth and floral. Honestly, it felt more like sipping a calming tea than a morning jolt. I’m hooked."
"This coffee wakes me up in the best way. It’s bold without being bitter, and the freshness is undeniable. Would love to see a decaf version!"
"I was blown away by the balance and aroma of this coffee. It’s rich, smooth, and has a subtle floral finish that’s hard to find. Anbessa has outdone themselves!"
"I tried it on a whim, and now it’s the only coffee I want. It has a gentle sweetness and this soft, almost airy vibe. Super light but full of flavor."
“What makes Anbessa stand out is the flavor clarity — it’s not heavy or over-roasted. It has a delicate floral aroma and finishes with sweet, almost berry-like notes. Absolutely refreshing.”
"Anbessa blew me away. There’s this fruity, clean flavor that’s nothing like the bitter coffee I’m used to. It’s the kind of cup you actually want to sip slowly."
“The first sip was smooth, slightly bright, extremely satisfying and followed all the way through to the bottom of the cup. To find out that it is made by a local start-up company was the icing on the cake. Highly recommend!”
